🍸 Who’s the Man Behind the Mic?
Episode 1: “Every Speakeasy Has a Secret Knock”
Every great speakeasy starts with a secret knock.
Consider this yours.
Behind the mic at Speakeasy.fm sits a man named Beau Bourbon — a late-forties Bostonian with a glass in hand, a life turned upside down, and a story he never planned to tell.
When Beau hit the wall of a crumbling marriage, 800 miles from home, he realized something that changed everything:
sometimes the universe rips your plans apart not to punish you, but to make room for truth.
And that truth — raw, messy, human — is what Speakeasy.fm is all about.
This isn’t another “self-help” show. Beau’s not a therapist, guru, or expert on anything other than surviving what life throws at you.
He’s more like your favorite bartender — the one who listens without judgment as you pour your heart out over whiskey on the rocks.
“Most talk shows do a lot of talking,” Beau says.
“Here at Speakeasy, we do a lot of listening.”
In this pilot episode, Beau shares his own turning point – the night his life imploded and how speaking his truth cracked open the idea for Speakeasy.fm. He talks about heartbreak, loneliness, and the strange relief that comes when you finally tell someone what’s been eating you alive.
Because that’s the whole point: to be heard.
Here, names don’t matter. Masks come off.
You can call yourself Mickey Mouse if you want – what matters is that your story gets a voice.
And maybe, somewhere out there, someone listening will whisper, “Damn… I thought I was the only one.”
So pull up a chair. Pour what helps you loosen up.
And if you’ve got something to get off your chest – there’s a mic waiting for you.
